{"id":56,"date":"2013-04-18T14:34:56","date_gmt":"2013-04-18T14:34:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smc.ihcantabria.es\/SMC25\/?page_id=56"},"modified":"2025-10-16T07:34:04","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T07:34:04","slug":"cursos","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/smc.ihcantabria.es\/SMC25\/en\/cursos\/","title":{"rendered":"Courses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to help in the use of this version of Coastal Modeling System (<strong>SMC 2.5<\/strong>), IHCantabria offers an e-learning course (<strong>IN SPANISH<\/strong>), where the user will be able to learn how to apply all the methodologies integrated to deal with coastal issues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SMC requires to have the software Surfer 8\u00a0(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.goldensoftware.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Golden Software<\/a>) previously installed, which will\u00a0<strong>NO<\/strong>\u00a0be provided by IHCantabria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The e-learning course is always available (the whole year) and it lasts two months approximately. During those two months, users may access to the course whenever they\u00a0want to and during the time period they need.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle; text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Program and contents of this course are similar to those considered in a face-to-face course, which is focus on showing the habilities of SMC to\u00a0deal with coastal issues using \u00a0some examples and video-tutorials.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">It can be carried out in 5 weeks with an average intensity of 10-12 hours per week.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the course, the user will be supported by a tutor via e-mail and the internal forum of the course.
